About the World Cagefighting Alliance (WCA)

Through the fallout and the damage left behind in the wake of ProElite's demise and the collapse of the IFL rises a new alliance for the sport of MMA....

The World Cagefighting Alliance.....WCA

The WCA was established to give athletes a new platform to display their skills and to give a new home to those athletes and fans looking to grow the sport of MMA. The WCA kicked off February 6th of 2009 in Atlantic City, and has been hailed by the MMA community as the best fight organization in the Northeast.

The Alliance started off with a bang by bringing some of MMA's top talent and rising stars into the cage and made an incredibly exciting and competitive event. Establishing itself as the new force in the MMA world, WCA is moving forward with regularly scheduled events in Atlantic City, Connecticut and soon New York.

World Cagefighting Alliance is exactly that.... an Alliance between it's founders, athletes and fans. President of the Alliance, Derek Panza, assembled a premiere team to help promote the world's greatest sport. Gary Marino, known for putting together some of the best fights in the industry has taken the role as lead matchmaker. Keith Evans, formerly with the UFC and one of the most experienced men in the industry is the Director of Operations.

The WCA was founded on the following principles.....

To deliver the best possible MMA events and continually approve upon those events

To continually seek out and cultivate new MMA talent

To treat the athletes and the sport of MMA with respect and dignity

To reward athletes based on there level of success, excitement, and warrior spirit

To build an alliance between the WCA, the athletes, and the fans and deliver a product both live and on television that keeps fan wanting more

The WCA recognizes that it is not whether you win or loose but how you play the game that matters..... our athletes fight hard or do not get invited back. Winners and loosers are not defined by victory or defeat but on the effort they put forth, the heart and style they bring too the game, their undying will to win, and the level of expertise their blood, sweat and tears has helped them attain and bring into the cage
